Shelter Grievance Advisory Committee is an independent 10 - 15 member oversight committee composed of representatives from: advocates, shelter providers, consumers, city agencies, and the community. This committee will be appointed by the Human Services Commission and have authority to oversee the grievance process, and make recommendations for improvements. The Advisory Committee may also review grievance-related policies and operations of the shelters and where appropriate make recommendations for improvement to the Department of Human Services (DHS).
