HSA funds transitional housing sites for homeless single adults, families and youth. This program was developed as a bridge between the street/shelter and permanent housing. Clients live in Transitional Housing sites from six months to two years and receive intensive services such as education, job training and placement, substance abuse counseling, parenting classes and childcare services. Residents generally pay 30 percent of their income for services and housing. Clients must apply directly to each program for housing.
