Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia affect not just individuals but entire families. At our Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Centers, we offer programs for individuals with dementia as well as support for their families.

Who Is Eligible?

Residents of San Francisco aged 18 and older with Alzheimer's disease, or other dementia-related disorders, particularly in the moderate to severe stages, whose care needs and behavioral problems may make it difficult to participate in existing care programs.

Services Provided

  • daytime activity programs specifically designed for individuals with moderate to severe stages of Alzheimer's Disease
  • family support groups
  • respite for the participant's primary caregivers
  • trainings for professionals and others caring for these individuals
  • referrals for caregivers to services such as counseling
  • some locations may also offer transportation to daytime activity programs
