If your family is facing a housing crisis, call the Compass Connecting Point for Families crisis hotline at 1-855-234-2667 (toll free number) for immediate referrals to services which will help you stay housed or find shelter. Connecting Point is the front door to the family shelter system. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed for lunch noon to 1 p.m.

If you need shelter tonight, call the Hamilton Family Emergency Center at (415) 292-5228 at 11:00 a.m. SHARP, Monday through Friday, for available one-night and 60-day beds.

Providence Family Shelters - First Come, First Serve Every Night

If your family is unable to find shelter tonight at Hamilton Family Emergency Center, please go to the two shelters noted in flyer links below. You DO NOT need a referral from another agency to get into either shelter. Families will be accepted as space permits, on a nightly basis, first-come, first-served.

Homeless Child Care Program

ACCESS (Accessible Child Care Expedited for the Shelter System) assists families with at least one child under 3 years of age who are living or have lived within the past six months in homeless or domestic violence shelters to obtain child care.  Click the title above for further information.
