On motion by Commissioner Yamasak, seconded and carried, the Commission adopted the agenda as posted. |

ASIAN PERINATAL ADVOCATES |
Robin Love, Family Preservation Coordinator, presented the request to renew the contract with Asian Perinatal Advocates.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with ASIAN PERINATAL ADVOCATES for FCS-Family Resource Center; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $691,920. |

ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL |
Robin Love, Family Preservation Coordinator, presented the request to renew the contract with Economic Opportunity Council.
On motion by Vice President Gaines, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL for provision of Family and Children's Services - Family Resource Center; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $ 334,982. |

INSTITUTO FAMILIAR DE LA RAZA |
Robin Love, Family Preservation Coordinator, presented the request to renew the contract with Instituto Familiar De La Raza.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with INSTITUTO FAMILIAR DE LA RAZA for provision of Family and Children's Services - Family Resource Center; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $597,315. |

BOOKER T. WASHINGTON COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER |
Robin Love, Family Preservation Coordinator, presented the request to modify the contract with Booker T. Washington Community Service Center.
David Bracker, Interim Executive Director - Booker T. Washington Community Service Center, spoke in support of the program.
On motion by Vice President Gaines, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to modify the contract with BOOKER T. WASHINGTON COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER for the provision of a Family Resource Center in the Western Addition Neighborhood; during the period of July 1, 2003 to September 30, 2003; for the additional amount of $105,457 for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $527,285. |

SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES |
Robin Love, Family Preservation Coordinator, presented the request to renew the contract with Support for Families of Children with Disabilities.
On motion by Vice President Gaines, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES for provision Family Resource Center - Training and Referrals; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $50,500. |

SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT |
John Tsutakawa, Family and Children's Services Contract Liaison, presented the request to renew the contract with San Francisco Community College District.
On motion by Commissioner Yamasaki, seconded and carried, the Commission excused Commissioner Martinez from the vote on the San Francisco Community College District contract in order to avoid a conflict of interest. Commissioner Martinez is on the Staff at San Francisco City College.
On motion by Vice President Gaines, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT for the provision of 4-E Training; during the period of July 1, 2003 to June 30, 2005; in a total contract amount not to exceed $520,000. |

John Tsutakawa, Family and Children's Services Contract Liaison, presented the request to enter into a new contract withCorrine Communications.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to enter into a new contract with CORRINE COMMUNICATIONS for provision of Technical Assistance and Parenting Education; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2006; in a total contract amount not to exceed $84,132. |

JERRY LEW & ASSOCIATES |
Magaly Fernandez, Program Manager - Civil Rights/Affirmative Action, presented the request to renew the contract with Jerry Lew & Associates.
On motion by Commissioner Morrison, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with JERRY LEW & ASSOCIATES for provision of Diversity and Management Training and Consultation; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $55,800. |

BLACK BEAR SECURITY SERVICES |
Sally Kipper, Deputy Director - Department of Human Services, presented the request to renew the contract with Black Bear Security Services.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with BLACK BEAR SECURITY SERVICES for the provision of Security Services; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $3,092,950. |

SAN FRANCISCO IN HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PUBLIC AUTHORITY |
Anthony Nicco, Adult Services Program Manager, presented the request to modify the San Francisco In Home Supportive Services Public Authority contract.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to modify the contract with
SAN FRANCISCO IN HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PUBLIC AUTHORITY for provision of IHSS Workers Health and Dental Benefits; during the period of July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003; for the additional amount of $2,207,259 for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $11,836,074. |

Anthony Nicco, Adult Services Program Manager, presented the request to renew the San Francisco In Home Supportive Services Public Authority contract.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with
SAN FRANCISCO IN HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PUBLIC AUTHORITY for provision of IHSS Workers Health and Dental Benefits; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2006; in a total contract amount not to exceed $56,318,103. |

SAN FRANCISCO IN HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PUBLIC AUTHORITY for provision of IHSS Public Authority Administration; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2006; in a total contract amount not to exceed $3,681,897. |

Laura Gerard, Housing and Homeless Program Analyst, presented the request to renew the contract with Ella Hill Hutch Community Center.
On motion by Commissioner Morrison, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with
ELLA HILL HUTCH COMMUNITY CENTER for provision of Adult Shelter Services; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $253,871. |

SAINT BONIFACE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER |
Laura Gerard, Housing and Homeless Program Analyst, presented the request to renew the contract with Saint Boniface Neighborhood Center.
On motion by Commissioner Yamasaki, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with
SAINT BONIFACE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER for provision of Adult Shelter Services; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $251,109. |

CONARD HOUSE INC. |
Shelagh Little, Deputy Director of Housing, presented the request to modify the contract with Conard House, Inc.
On motion by Commissioner Martinez, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to modify the contract with
CONARD HOUSE INC.; to extend Supportive Services; during the period of July 1, 2003 through September 30, 2003; in the additional amount of $257,146 for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $1,285,731. |

ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS |
Sally Kipper, Deputy Director - Department of Human Services, presented the request to renew the contract with Electronic Data Systems.
On motion by Commissioner Yamasaki, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with
ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS for provision of Joint Maintenance of the Welfare Client Data System (WCDS); during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $475,545. |

CALIFORNIA STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES |
Sally Kipper, Deputy Director - Department of Human Services, presented the request to renew the contract with California State Association of Counties.
On motion by Commissioner Morrison, seconded and carried, the Commission granted authorization to renew the contract with
CALIFORNIA STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES (CSAC) for provision of Management and Oversight of the Welfare Client Data System; during the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004; in a total contract amount not to exceed $20,574. |
