Personal Assisted Employment Services (PAES) 1235 Mission Street (415) 558-1000
PAES provides a cash stipend to employable adults, who may also receive the education, training and supportive services necessary to gain lasting employment. Participants, unless exempt because of age or a verifiable, temporarily disabling condition, develop and follow an employment plan leading to work and self-sufficiency. PAES supportive services may include psychological and vocational assessment, substance abuse and mental health counseling, ancillary funds for work-related clothing, tools and supplies, and transportation assistance to and from work activities as determined by the case manager. PAES employment services are limited to 27 months, with a possible six-month extension if this is likely to lead to employment. Participants may have a disability or be seniors and still receive career advancement services. Applicants should apply in person at the CAAP office at 1235 Mission Street.
