Need Help Paying for Child Care?California and San Francisco fund a broad range of citywide child care programs. HSA administers vouchered, subsidized child care to eligible families served through CalWORKs, Family and Children's Services, homeless programs, and other subsidy programs for low-income families. Children's Council of San Francisco is contracted by HSA to administer its city- and state-funded child care subsidies. Additionally, they provide Resource and Referral helping parents find the appropriate child care that meets their needs. Where Do I Start?
Need Help Finding Child CareState-funded resource and referral agencies help parents, providers, and local communities find, plan for, and provide affordable, quality child care. San Francisco has two resource and referral agencies: Families with children who have special needs can receive additional help through the Child Care Inclusion Challenge Project.
