MUNI Lifeline

Lifeline Fast Passes are discounted MUNI fast passes for qualified low-income San Francisco residents.  Qualified low-income individuals include persons currently receiving public assistance through one of the following San Francisco County assistance programs: CAAP (General Assistance, Cash Assistance Linked to Medi-Cal, Personal Assisted Employment Services, Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants), CalWORKs, Food Stamps, and/or MediCal.  Individuals who have received either a Federal Earned Income Tax Credit or the local Working Families Tax Credit or enrolled in a financial assistance program through a utility company may also be eligible pending proof of eligibility.

Individuals are only allowed to purchase one Lifeline Fast Pass per month for their own personal use.  Individuals that receive a fast pass through a public assistance program are ineligible to purchase a second fast pass.  Lifeline Fast Passes are available for purchase on the last two business days of the preceding month and the first two business days of the current month for which the fast pass is valid.  Lifelines are $35 each.

Lifeline Fast Passes, and only Lifeline Fast Passes, are available at the Human Services Agency office at 170 Otis and at the San Francisco One Stop located at 3120 Mission between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Individuals wishing to purchase a Lifeline Fast Pass must have a current ID with their photo and address imprinted on it.

Only cash is accepted for Lifeline Fast Pass sales – no ATM debit cards, credit cards or EBT benefit cards will be accepted.  All sales are final and no refunds, returns or exchanges are allowed.

Lifeline Fast Passes are only valid on MUNI vehicles (except cable cars).  Lifeline Fast Passes are not valid on BART.
