GA is the safety net program for indigent adults. A cash grant is provided, and in exchange, able-bodied recipients are expected to perform Workfare community service. If participating in Workfare, recipients also receive a Muni fast pass or tokens. Applicants should apply in person at the CAAP office at 1235 Mission Street.
