DISABILITY AND AGING SERVICES Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment
April 2022
The 2022 Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment is currently in the data analysis and report drafting phase of this process. A report summarizing our findings about community needs and recommendations to improve our services for older adults and people with disabilities will be published in April.
The research phase concluded in December 2021. Many thanks to the community members who participated in our citywide survey, virtual and in-person community forums, focus groups, and interviews. Your feedback will help inform future decisions about funding and investment in services for older adults and people with disabilities.
About the Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment
DAS conducts the Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment every four years to gather community input on the needs of older adults and people with disabilities. We do this through a citywide survey, community forums, focus groups, and interviews. We analyze this information, along with population and service participation data, to develop summary findings and recommendations that we publish in the Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment report. In the following year, we use our needs assessment findings and recommendations to develop a Services and Allocation Plan outlining how we will use the Dignity Fund to meet the identified needs of our community.
