Workforce Development Centers

You can access general employment resources, such as computers, internet access, photocopy and fax machines, and current job listings at our Workforce Development Centers. Participants in HSA benefit programs can also work with our staff to access trainings and workshops.

The Workforce Development Division of the Human Services Agency operates three Workforce Development Centers in San Francisco, providing HSA program participants who are looking for employment assistance with all of the tools they need to find a job, such as trainings and workshops, career counseling, and current job listings. While these enhanced employment services are only available to individuals already receiving assistance through one of HSA's cash aid benefit programs, general employment resources are available on a walk-in basis. Each center has a resource area that offers computers with internet access, software for career information and exploration, photocopying machines, fax machines, and telephones.

Our JobsNOW! program provides additional training and employment services to individuals participating in our CalWORKs, and CAAP programs, as well as qualifying current and former foster youth and a select number of CalFresh only participants. If you are currently receiving cash aid benefits, ask our staff about workshops on employment-related topics, such as résumé writing, interviewing techniques, master applications, and employer expectations that may be available to help sharpen your job-seeking skills.

If you are receiving cash aid and ready for a job, but you need some help finding one, visiting a Workforce Development Center is a great way to hear about jobs and connect with employers. In addition to current job listings, career counseling, and job placement services, we also offer targeted employer recruitments where you can be interviewed and receive a tentative job offer all in the same day. Our staff will help you prepare for these recruitments ahead of time so you can put your best foot forward.
