Working Families Credit Who is Eligible for the WFC?

To be eligible for the Working Families Credit (WFC), your family must...

  • Have never received the WFC before
  • Have earned less than $53,930 in 2017
  • Have filed your tax return by April 17 deadline
  • Claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) on your federal income tax return (see table below for more information)
  • Claim at least one qualifying dependent child on your federal income tax return
  • Live in San Francisco

When you'll receive the Working Families Credit (WFC)
The 2017 WFC credits will be distributed to qualified first-time applicants before the end of September 2018, subject to availability of funding. Due to limited funding, the WFC is only available to qualified applicants who have NEVER received this credit before.
