The shelter-in-place order has been extended to May 31, 2020. All HSA Service Centers will remain closed for this period.

To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, HSA service sites are now closed. But we are still here to help you meet your essential service needs without interruption. Learn more from our Agency updates below or download our flyer

Service announcements

  • High Risk Community Housing: This program provides free rooms and meals at a centrally located hotel for eligible residents who work outside the home. Learn more.
  • Now hiring: Goodwill is hiring Site Monitors for the City's emergency housing sites. Compensation is $24-$28 per hour. Apply now.
  • Groceries and meals: HSA food assistance provides groceries and prepared meals for pick up or delivery. Learn more about our newest benefit program called Pandemic-EBT for school kids and Great Plates Delivered for older adults. 
  • Take an HSA client survey: We recently sent you a text message about taking a survey. Please refer to the text message to respond to the survey. It is anonymous and will help us improve our services. Need a survey? Email ChristineWeiMienLou@sfgov.org
  • Free COVID-19 testing and treatment: If you are uninsured, you can be covered by Medi-Cal, regardless of income and immigration status. Learn more (English | Spanish).
  • Muni Lifeline recertification rescheduledNo payment is required in April or May. Please carry your Lifeline ID as proof of payment.

    • By phone: For information, call (415) 557-5100, 
    • Housing assistance: Still available by calling (415) 557-5100  or by visiting 170 Otis if the CalWORKs recipient does not have a phone.
      Please note that wait times may be longer than expected due to increased call volume.

    In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)

    • Care Providers: Help with timesheet and payments, employment verification, overtime and travel time, and violations, call (415) 557-6200
    • Care Recipients: Help with recipient responsibilities, call your IHSS social worker
    • Applications and information: Email applications to ihss@sfgov.org or call (415) 355-6700
    • Care Provider orientations: Are now included in the online enrollment process.
    • eTimesheet trainings: All scheduled in-person sessions have been canceled.
