PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION ASSISTANT (FT)​​ 

This employer specializing in custom wall upholstery, window treatments, and soft goods since 1977. They are partner with leading interior design firms nationwide and provide full-service support from consultation and measuring through to fabrication and installation.​​ 

Position Summary:​​ 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Production and Installation Assistant to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial sewing equipment, fabrication processes, and on-site installation of custom treatments. This is a full-time position offering long-term growth in a collaborative and high-quality craftsmanship environment.​​ 

Key Responsibilities:​​ 

Production / Fabrication Support:​​ 

• After training Assist in the fabrication of custom draperies, shades, wall upholstery, and soft furnishings​​ 
• After training Cut and sew both custom and standard fabric with precision​​ 
• After training Perform pressing and various types of hand sewing​​ 
• After training Operate industrial and domestic sewing machines​​ 

Installation Assistance:​​ 

• After training Support on-site measuring, mounting, and installation of custom treatments​​ 
• After training Handle and transport heavy materials including fabric panels, tools, ladders, and hardware​​ 
• After training Safely use hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, pneumatic staplers, and nail guns)​​ 
• After training Be comfortable working at heights (e.g., on ladders during installation)​​ 

Project Support:​​ 

• After training Collaborate with team to maintain high-quality workmanship​​ 
• After training Apply problem-solving and analytical skills on-site and in the workroom​​ 
• After training Maintain organized workspaces and follow project timelines​​ 
• After training Represent the company with professionalism and reliability during client visits​​ 

Requirements & Qualifications:​​ 

• Prior experience in sewing (hand and machine) and fabrication preferred.​​ 
• Ability to lift, load, and move heavy materials and tools​​ 
• Comfortable with ladders and physical aspects of installation work​​ 
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements accurately​​ 
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record​​ 
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English)​​ 
• Positive attitude, team player, punctual, and eager to learn​​ 
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town installations as needed​​

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday​​ 
• Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM​​
