Food Replacement Benefits Due to the Power Outage
Attention San Francisco CalFresh recipients: If your food spoiled due to the extended power outage that started on December 20, 2025, you may be eligible for replacement food benefits by January 20, 2026.
Normally, food replacement requests must be submitted within 10 days. However, the deadline for the San Francisco power outage has been extended 30 days to January 20, 2026.
How to apply for food replacement benefits
Submit Form 303 in one of the following ways:
By phone: (855) 355-5757 - Highly recommended to avoid delays with application processing.
Online: Download and complete Form 303, and submit it through your BenefitsCal.com account.

In person at a Service Center: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday at 1440 Harrison Street | 1235 Mission Street | 170 Otis Street | 3120 Mission Street | 2 Gough Street
Service Center drop box: Outside 1440 Harrison Street from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or any time at 1235 Mission Street.
