The Human Services Agency oversees the foster care system in San Francisco. Our goal is to provide safe, nurturing homes for children of all ages in foster care.
We do this by matching children in foster care with loving resource families (formerly called foster families) that complete the approval process.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, and income levels, including couples, single adults, LGBTQ+, and older adults.
