What You Will Learn

• Basic kitchen skills: knife handling, ingredient preparation, marination, and fundamental cooking techniques
• Knowledge of fusion cuisine (Chinese and Western)
• Food safety and sanitation standards
• Teamwork and communication in a bilingual (English & Chinese) environment
• Time management in a high-paced kitchen setting

Responsibilities

• After training Assist chefs with food preparation (cutting, washing, seasoning)
• After training Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow safety protocols
• After training Support basic cooking tasks such as rice preparation, stir-frying, plating
• After training Learn to operate kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers)
• After training Assist with dish presentation and serving under chef supervision
• After training Help track inventory, receive deliveries, and manage supplies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Chinese
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in the culinary industry and willingness to learn
• Physical ability to lift 20–30 lbs of ingredients

Skills to Be Trained

• Professional knife skills and advanced cooking techniques
• Familiarity with restaurant management systems (POS)
• Recipe development and advanced culinary knowledge

Schedule & Compensation:

•  Competitive hourly pay ($22/hour)
• 10:30 AM -10:30 PM Number of working days in a week upon negotiation and availability
