DENTAL ASSISTANT/FRONT DESK FT

Job Description

Private general/cosmetic Dental office is looking for a Cantonese/English speaking. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, professional and responsible with excellent communication and customer service skills. Previous dental office/assisting experience preferred but the employer is willing to train the right candidate. Hours can be one person or split between two workers.


DUTIES:

·    Answer phones, respond to text messages. Schedule and confirm appointments

·    Check in patients, collect copayments, seat patients in operatory

·    Verify insurance and enter info into computer/Dentrix.

·    Submit insurance claims, post payments, handle billing inquiries and send statements.

·    Assist the dentist during exams and procedures

·    Clean up and disinfect operatory; prepare and set up for next patient

·    Sterilize used instruments, place sterilized materials properly

·    Perform monthly autoclave maintenance and weekly spore testing

·    Check office supplies and inventories periodically

·    Keep the office clean and tidy


Minimum Qualifications:

·    Cantonese speaking is a MUST, basic English needed

·    Punctual, dependable, friendly, caring, professional and responsible

·    Great communication skills

·    Willing and able to learn

·    Tailored resume including customer service and dental/medical skills if any

Preferred, not required:

·    High school diploma

·    Knowledge of insurance billing and claims

·    Dental X-ray license


Schedule:

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays  10am-3:30pm with 30 minute lunch break

Wednesdays and Saturdays – 10am-6:30pm with 30 minute lunch break
