We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This part-time position requires professionalism, strong security skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor the premises using CCTV and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security standards are maintained
• Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies
• Enforce rules and regulations to prevent unauthorized access and maintain order within the area
• Manage conflicts or disturbances with professionalism, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and document incidents thoroughly in reports
• Provide a visible security presence to reassure attendees and staff
REQUIREMENTS:
• Current BSIS Guard Card
• Powers of Arrest Certificate
• Exposed Firearm Permit
• Proven experience in law enforcement, military, or private security roles preferred
• Valid certificate in First Aid, CPR, and conflict management (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail in monitoring large crowds and premises
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while maintaining a high level of alertness
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, law enforcement, and the public
• Must be physically fit, able to stand for extended periods, and capable of responding swiftly during emergencies
• Prior experience in security operations involving conflict resolution or CCTV monitoring is highly desirable
• Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
• Able to work independently within a team-oriented framework
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Minimum one (1) year of security guard experience preferred
• 21 years or older
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
