With nearly 200,000 people evacuated as a result of the fire, San Francisco has opened a temporary disaster shelter to assist people who have been displaced.
CalWORKs provides temporary financial support, as well as job training, education, child care, and counseling, to pregnant women and eligible families with children under age 19.
