DPW PST Environmental SVR WK TRN

San Francisco Department of Public Works (SFDPW) is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the City's infrastructure, public facilities, and streetscapes to ensure safe, clean, and accessible environments for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·        Assisted with cleaning and maintenance of public facilities and surrounding areas.

·        Performed litter removal, sweeping, and sanitation duties in assigned work areas.

·        Supported environmental maintenance operations to ensure clean and safe public spaces.

·        Utilized cleaning equipment, tools, and materials in accordance with safety procedures.

·        Assisted with waste collection, recycling, and disposal activities.

·        Maintained sidewalks, public rights-of-way, and facility grounds.

·        Performed routine custodial and environmental service tasks under supervision.

·        Supported daily operations related to cleanliness, sanitation, and public health standards.

·        Assisted in identifying and reporting maintenance and safety concerns.

·        Contributed to the upkeep and appearance of City facilities and public spaces.

Minimum Qualifications

·        Commitment to completing a 6 –12-month training

·        Interest in public service, environmental maintenance, or social outreach work

·        Ability to follow instructions and communicate respectfully within a team

·        Physically able to work outdoors and lift/move objects up to 30 lbs.

·        Punctual, dependable, and open to feedback
