APRENTISANG MANGGAGAWA (KATAD)

This role is a structured, paid artisan training and apprenticeship opportunity. Apprentices will participate in a six-month program that combines formal artisan training (months 1-3), studio operations support, and hands-on production work (months 4-6).

The program is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience who are eager to learn, work with their hands, and develop professional-level skills over time.

This is an on-site training employment opportunity.

Job Duties

Phase 1. Training & Studio Support (Months 1–3)

Apprentices spend the first three months focused on foundational training and studio operations.

Work includes:

● Participating in a structured artisan training curriculum using traditional tools and methods

● Practicing fundamental hand skills through repeated exercises and guided projects

● Learning material handling, tool care, and workspace setup

● Supporting day-to-day studio operations, including light administrative and organizational tasks

● Assisting team with preparation and logistics

Much of this phase involves repetition, correction, and redoing work until standards are met.

Phase 2. Apprenticeship & Production Support (Months 4–6)

After completing training, apprentices transition into production support.

Work may include:

● Assisting Master Artisans directly with leather goods production

● Performing specific production steps under supervision

● Preparing materials and components

● Supporting quality control and finishing processes

● Continuing skill development through real production work

There is potential for continued employment after the program based on performance and business needs.

Minimum Mga Kwalipikasyon

● Willingness to learn and take instruction

● Positive attitude and strong work ethic

● Interest in craftsmanship, making, or working with hands

● Ability to focus, pay attention to detail, and work patiently

● Reliability and commitment to a full-time schedule

● Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment

No prior leathercraft, manufacturing, or artisan experience is required.

Mga benepisyo

● Paid, on-the-job artisan training

● Mentorship from a master leather artisan

● Opportunity to develop a skilled trade

● Potential for long-term employment after program completion

Work Schedule

● Full-time schedule

● Days and hours determined in coordination with studio operations

● Must be flexible, as schedule may adjust based on training and production needs

Who Will Thrive Here

This role is a good fit for people who:

● Enjoy learning through repetition and practice

● Are comfortable receiving direct feedback and applying it consistently

● Take pride in doing small things well, repeatedly

● Show up reliably and work steadily without constant supervision

● Are curious about how things are made and how businesses operate

● Are patient and focused when learning difficult skills

Who This Is Not For

This role is not a good fit if you are looking for:

● A casual or hobby-style creative workshop

● Immediate independence or design freedom

● A fast-paced retail or customer service job

● A role where progress happens quickly without repetition

This is a structured training and apprenticeship environment.

Studio Culture

Our studio values discipline, craftsmanship, and long-term skill development. We prioritize quality over speed, learning over shortcuts, and pride in workmanship. Apprentices are expected to show respect for tools, materials, and the learning process.

This is not a retail or casual role. It is a focused, hands-on training environment for individuals serious about learning a craft.
