The San Francisco Human Services Agency (SFHSA) is excited to announce the first meeting of the Food Security Council. In July 2026, Mayor Daniel Lurie directed SFHSA to form the Food Security Council in order to advise the Mayor’s Office and City departments on food security strategy, policy, and program implementation. The Council will help the City navigate the evolving food security landscape to advance our goals of ensuring that all San Franciscans have equitable access to affordable, nutritious food that meets their unique needs.
This meeting is open to the public and will be in person at 170 Otis St in the Born Auditorium on Friday, November 13th, 2026, from 10AM-12PM. Lunch will be provided. This first meeting will help set the foundation of the Council and inform future meetings.
