This is a training to permanent position. By the end of this 6 month on-site-training caregivers will be able to:

• Demonstrate safe, competent, and compassionate delivery of personal care and ADL support.
• Will be taught to follow care plans and document care provided using WellSky.
• Use WellSky correctly for notes, documentation, and timekeeping.
• Work safely with clients with mobility limitations, chronic illnesses, and dementia.
• Follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and care team.
• Understand professionalism, boundaries, reporting, and agency standards.

Month 1 — Foundational Onboarding & State Compliance

Month 2 — Core Caregiving Skills & ADL Mastery

Month 3 — Dementia, Parkinson's & Behavioral Support

Month 4 — Safety, Emergencies & Advanced Care Techniques

Month 5 — Professionalism, Communication & Independence

Month 6 — Evaluation, Continuing Education & Career Growth

DUTIES:

• 1-on-1 assistance with ADLs such as housecleaning, meal prep, bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and toileting
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
• Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring clients' and own safety
• Accompany clients to appointments and run errands as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with a high level of integrity and good judgement
• Passionate about helping people and committed to providing respectful, inclusive care to all clients regardless of background or identity
• Available for full-time work
• References that can speak to your reliability and dependability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and TB screening
• Able to assist clients in transfers, getting in and out of cars etc depending on assignment
• Flexible, able to work with multiple clients in a day
• Cell phone with smart capabilities
• Basic English abilities to communicate with clients and understand care plans
• Have access to a device to complete online 10-Hour Caregiver Certification and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training within the first 30 days of employment (facilitated/paid by agency).
• Adhere to Annual California state training requirements
• Able to follow agency protocols and adapt to feedback

Preferred, not required:

• Vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• Experience with people experiencing dementia or Parkinson's. Candidates who advance will have opportunities to pursue dementia specialization, hospice/end-of-life support, and chronic illness care training
• Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs)
