LABORER (CONSTRUCTION)
Job Description
Our Company is an established Construction business operating in San Francisco. Our primary work includes; Concrete GPR Scanning, Coring, Saw Cutting, Excavating, Drone Mapping and other related project-based tasks.
The Laborer employee’s role will be to work alongside experienced staff technicians to develop skills for the construction laborer trade in specific cited areas; as listed above.
The new employee Laborer will receive hands-on training in all aspects of Construction Laborer work. After completion of their On-Site Training plan and work experience, approximately (6) months, the Laborer will have a complete skill set. This may enable them to become permanently employed by the Company and obtain future opportunities for advancement with salary/wage increases. Potential to make a commitment to a Trade-based Career.
DUTIES
The selected Laborer will work with Company technicians to assist them at each project to move and setup equipment. Including, assist the technician(s) when cutting coring materials, and related tasks.
Be willing to learn the trade of GPR Scanning and become proficient in this technique. The employee will be shown all levels of safety to work in a construction environment and be provided with PPE safety necessities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- The preferred Laborer candidate will have some construction jobsite work experience (minimal okay).
- Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds, handle heavy materials - Physicality to perform Work tasks
- Work in various conditions and weather elements
- Stand and move for duration of work shift(s)
- Ability to work well with others and independently
- Have good communication skills - Have the ability to communicate in English; reading, writing and following directions accurately
- Laborer’s must have good judgement, make decisions, interact with others, and adapt to changes in jobs
- Subject to other on-the-job work related requirements, as they arise
All on-the-job training is to be provided
JOB SCHEDULE
The work schedule will vary based on the Project(s). Typically, Monday - Friday 7:30am start - 4:00pm (approximately).
Currently, we have large work projects based throughout San Francisco and vicinity. These projects may require Night shift or Saturday work.
BENEFITS
The initial starting pay rate is $28. per hour, and a full-time schedule.
After the successful completion of the training curriculum, and obtainment of permanent employment status; there is an anticipated increase in the rate of pay. Employees may have the opportunity to work on one of the Prevailing Wage projects.
Medical Insurance Coverage and a Company 401K plan is offered to qualified employees.
