DELIVERY/EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN-FT

Job Description

This is a training to permanent position; the Employer is a durable medical supplies provider and serves the community throughout San Francisco Bay Area. Delivery/Equipment Technician must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Home Medical and uphold it’s standard for excellence. Responsible for competent, efficient, and friendly delivery service to customers in their home. Responsible for safeguarding company assets while in their care.


Duties:

* Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients.

* Deliver and set-up equipment and supplies efficiently and provide instructions to client as appropriate.

* Be familiar with and adhere to all regulatory and safety procedures that apply to the delivery of gaseous oxygen.

* Pick up equipment in timely manner.

* Assist with cleaning and repairing all equipment while in store if time permits. Maintain records for all rental equipment.

* Responsible for attendance at in-store meetings.

* Assist with inventory control.

* Maintain the building and ground by cleaning, painting, performing minor repairs and other tasks as time permits.

* Responsible for observing confidentiality at all times.

* Responsible for the safe operation and routine care of company vehicle’s.

* Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management.


Minimum Qualifications:

* Bilingual in Cantonese/English.

* High school diploma or equivalent. (Preferred not required)

* After training must be able to show effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.

* After training must be able to show organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.

* Be able to lift up to 65-150 lbs frequently.

* After training must be able show ability to walk 4 hours daily, sit 1 hour daily and stand 8 hours daily.

* After training must be able show ability to drive at least 3 hours daily.

* Must be clean and neat in personal appearance

* Excellent driving record

* After training must be able to obtain Hazardous Material endorsement.

*  After training must be able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.

* Good oral and written communication skills.

* After training must be able to submit all paperwork relevant to the position thoroughly completed without errors

* After training must be able to show people sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others.

 *After training must be able to maintain the physical and mechanical condition of his/her assigned company vehicle. Clean and service the

trucks/vans regularly.

* After training must be able to perform some equipment repairs and assembly, cleaning, bagging, tagging and functional check of all incoming power and

non-power equipment

* 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred not required.


Schedule: Monday to Friday, 32-40 hrs a week, 9am-5:30pm


Benefits: sick & vacation paid, 401K after completion of 1-year of employment. After 3 months of probation, health benefits will be offered.
