PHARMACY TECHNICIAN FT

Job Description

The Employer is one of the largest community health centers in the United States targeting the medically underserved population. Pharmacy Technician will perform technical functions and related pharmacy duties at all pharmacies as well as activities related to procuring, storing, and distribution of pharmaceutical and pharmacy products.

Duties:

  • Procures, stores and distributes pharmacy merchandise in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Follows procedures in verifying patient information Type and fill prescriptions in accordance with legal requirements on the pharmacy computer operating System in a high output setting.
  • Keeps work area and equipment in a clean and organized condition; maintains a safe efficient work environment.
  • Assists in the maintenance of inventory records, the taking of inventories, the placement of orders, and the receiving of drugs and supplies. Establishes and maintains courteous and cooperative relationships with peers, patients, and other personnel, and the public.
  • Operate a cash register in a high volume setting. Interview patients to obtain information regarding drug use, pertinent patient information, drug allergies and sensitivities. Be able to cover all clinic locations Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid license as a pharmacy technician from the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Follow guidelines established by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must be able to cover all Pharmacy locations.
  • Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English. Fluency in Spanish required.
  • This is an FLSA Non-exempt position. This is an OSHA high-risk position. 

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8am-6pm, 8 hrs a day
