MECHANIC DRIVER FT

The company rents unique gas and electric vehicles for its one-of-a-kind, GPS-guided tours throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. The Mechanic Driver is responsible for moving vehicles between locations and assisting guests who encounter issues on tour. They also act as an inter-office messenger. This position works under the direction of the Logistics Manager.

DUTIES: (To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will have the abilities to perform each duty proficiently after training)

• Transportation of vehicles between locations

• Prioritizing breakdown calls and the timely and reliable transportation of guests 

• Setting expectations for the customer, handling complaints with grace and compassion, clearly communicating their needs to co-workers

• Maintaining a clean and functioning breakdown vehicle.

• Clear communication between multiple locations and expedient job completion

• Interoffice collection and distribution including collection of store monies and weekly bank deposits

• Ability to work effectively under the following Work Environments:

• Outdoors/indoors. Under variable temperature conditions and noise levels

• Around dust, chemicals, fumes and/or odor hazards

• Around heavy machinery and vehicles

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate

• 2 years experience Professional Driving with a clean driving record

• Customer Service Experience

• Can communicate effectively in English verbally and written, with CEO, management, and co-workers

• Organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills

• Problem resolution skills. Compute basic arithmetic

• Ability to work flexible hours - must be available weekends

• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy

• Ability to follow directions thoroughly and work with minimal supervision

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and pertinent company data

Preferred, not required

• Previous Experience in Vehicle / Shop Maintenance

• Multi-lingual

Physical Abilities

• Exert physical effort in transporting 5 to 100 pounds

• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas

• Remain in stationary position for 8 hours throughout the work shift

WORK SCHEDULE:

40 hours/week

10 am- 6 pm Monday - Sunday

Hours/days will vary from week to week.
