Warehouse Worker

We are a family owned and operated San Francisco Legacy business which sells and distributes wholesale compostable/recyclable paper and plastic supplies to a diverse client base of hospitals, schools, restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and various institutions. We are currently hiring for a Hybrid Commercial Driver/Warehouse Associate to assist with warehouse operations and the safe, timely delivery of food and non-food products throughout San Francisco and the Greater Bay Area. This position is a permanent position with a six-month training period at the beginning.

6-Month training program includes the following:

Month 1 — Orientation, Safety & Foundational Skills

Month 2 — Warehouse Operations & Equipment Training

Month 3 — Driving Skills & Route Familiarization

Month 4 — Customer Service & Independent Delivery

Month 5 — Advanced Warehouse/Delivery Integration

Month 6 — Leadership, Efficiency & Full Independence

DUTIES:

·    Deliver products safely and on time throughout San Francisco and the Greater Bay Area.

·    Maintain accountability for merchandise transported from the warehouse to customer businesses.

·    Follow all applicable commercial driving regulations and safety requirements.

·    Provide professional and courteous customer service.

·    Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.

·    Keep company trucks clean and well-maintained inside and out.

·    Receive, organize, and prepare shipments.

·    Safely load, unload, and transport products using a forklift, hand truck or pallet jack as needed. Forklift certification can be provided if necessary.

·    Keep the warehouse clean, office and breakroom.

·    Perform additional warehouse and delivery duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·    Valid California Class C driver's license.

·    Minimum 2 years of previous commercial driving experience.

·    Ability to safely operate a truck up to 24 feet.

·    Ability to lift approximately 65 pounds.

·    Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack; certification can be provided.

·    Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area.

·    Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred, not Required:

·      High School Diploma or GED

·      Food service experience

·      Customer service experience

JOB SCHEDULE: M-F; 7 AM start. Some Saturdays required (a few times per year. When working Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be days off)
