Free Tax Help Working Families Credit (WFC)
The WFC Program offers up to $250 a year to families who qualify for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC). Families that qualify for both can get up to $9,600 for tax year 2023.
Apply by April 15, 2024.
If approved, you should receive your WFC between May and late September 2024, depending upon your application submission date.
Remember - you can use an ITIN to apply for WFC:
Immigrants without Social Security numbers can apply for WFC if they qualify for CalEITC using their Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
