City of San Francisco Working Families Credit

Here you'll find information on how to claim tax credits, benefits, and other services for low-income working families in our City.

What is the Working Families Credit (WFC)?
The San Francisco Working Families Credit (WFC) gives up to $250 to low-income working families who have also qualified for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

Applications for 2018 are Now Available

Due to limited funding, the 2017 Working Families Credit (WFC) will only be available to eligible first-time applicants. If you have ever received the Working Families Credit (WFC), you are NOT eligible for the credit this tax season and need not apply.

The WFC application deadline is April 17, 2018. If you submit your application by the deadline and are determined eligible, you will receive your WFC payment by September 2018.

To report a change to your address or bank account, please call (415) 557-6284 or email us at wfc@sfgov.org.
