With nearly 200,000 people evacuated as a result of the fire, San Francisco has opened a temporary disaster shelter to assist people who have been displaced.
The program provides paid travel for people experiencing homelessness who seek to return to their family, friends or other support networks in their hometown.

Our service center at 1235 Mission St. will permanently close on Friday, March 20 at 5 p.m. because we are relocating to a new state‑of‑the‑art facility at 1460 Mission St.
