Senior Companion Program

Are you an older adult who would like to help others with daily activities and social interaction? The Senior Companion program offers volunteers a small stipend to visit and assist homebound older adults with chores and grocery shopping, provide one-on-one social interaction, and assist with transportation to medical and other appointments. Volunteering will also strengthen your self-worth, retain physical health and mental alertness, and enrich your social contacts;

Who is eligible: Volunteers must be low- to moderate-income older adults.

Contact: Disability and Aging Services Intake and Referral line at (415) 355-6700 for more information.
