Most children in foster care are in the process of reunification with their families. Reunification can take a few weeks to many years.

You can provide a safe, stable, and loving home for a child in foster care during this time by becoming a resource parent (formerly called foster parent).

Resource families can include relatives or non-relatives who complete the approval process.

Who can apply
Experience is not required. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, and income levels who are couples, single adults, LGBTQ+, and older adults.

How to get started
