Working Families Credit (WFC) WFC Eligibility
Who Is Eligible
To qualify for WFC you must:
- Live in San Francisco.
- File your 2022 tax return by October 16, 2023.
- Claim at least one qualifying dependent child on your tax return.
- Claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) if you have a Social Security number (SSN) and earned less than $59,187 in 2022.
or
Claim the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) using your Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) if you are an immigrant who does not have an SSN and earns less than $30,000 in 2022.
What You Get Back
If eligible, you can get a WFC of up to $250 using direct deposit or $100 if you request a paper check. Your WFC is in addition to what you get back from the federal EITC and CalEITC. See table below for:
