- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Get public benefits through SFHSA such as CalWORKs, CalFresh, or County Adult Assistance Programs (CAAP).
We offer two programs under JobsNOW!
Public Service Trainee Program
The Public Service Trainee (PST) Program offers temporary, paid training and hands-on experience with the City and County of San Francisco. This program offers a wide variety of positions ranging from clerical, customer service, and gardening to IT support, supplies, and custodial services. This program is six-months, with the possibility to be extended three to six months. These positions are 9910 and 9916 job classifications with the City and County of San Francisco.
On-Site Training Program
Our On-Site Training Program (OST) helps match SFHSA clients with private and non-profit employers who are invested in their growth and success. Once hired, clients receive on-the-job, curriculum-based training while on the job. The OST program supports clients in gaining work experience and building occupation-specific skills to support their transition into longer-term employment after completion of the six-month program.
